[Product name] Menotrophin for Injection(HMG,GHM)

[Properties] This product is a white or white-like freeze-dried cake or powder. This product is dissolved in water.

[Pharmacology and Toxicology] This product is a gonadotropin. It mainly has the effect of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), promotes follicular maturation and testicular production in the ovary and secretes hormones. The female endometrium is proliferated, and the male promotes the development of seminiferous tubules, spermatogenic cell division, and sperm maturation.
[Pharmacokinetics] This product can be absorbed by intramuscular injection. The peak plasma concentration is 4-6 hours. After administration, serum estradiol peaks at 18 hours, increases by 88%, after intravenous injection of 150 IU, the drug Cmax was 24 IU/L, peaked at 15 minutes, eliminated into biphasic, mainly excreted by the kidneys, and no secretion was reported in breast milk.
[Indications] In combination with chorionic gonadotropin, it is used for primary or secondary amenorrhea caused by insufficient gonadotropin secretion, infertility caused by anovulation.

【Usage and Dosage】 Intramuscular injection Dissolved in 1~2ml sterile water for injection. Start (or the fifth day of the cycle) once 75~150u, once a day. After 7 days, the dose was adjusted according to the patient's level and follicular development, increasing to 150~225u per day. After the follicle matures, intramuscular injection of chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) 10,000 u induces ovulation. If the ovary does not respond after three weeks of injection, the drug is stopped.
[Adverse reactions] Mainly for ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, manifested as lower abdominal discomfort or bloating, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and enlarged ovaries. Severe can cause chest tightness, shortness of breath, decreased urine output, pleural effusion, ascites, and even rupture of follicular cysts. In addition, there are multiple pregnancies and premature births.
[Contraindications] Allergies, premature ovarian failure, menopause, unexplained vaginal bleeding, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, ovarian enlargement patients are prohibited.

【Notes】 1. Should be used under the guidance of an experienced gynecological endocrinologist. A thorough examination should be performed regularly during the treatment: type B ultrasound (monitoring follicular development), cervical mucus examination,  level determination, and daily basal body temperature measurement. 2. If severe ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome occurs, stop the drug immediately. 3. Patients with asthma, heart disease, epilepsy, renal insufficiency, pituitary tumors or hypertrophy, thyroid or adrenal insufficiency should be used with caution.
